Dear Paul - 1st things 1st. Oops, no, I wasn't insinuating that you were an amateur gambler. Sorry if my brain and my ability to express got disconnected <g>. Rather, I was referring to the speculators and currency traders. I have too much [grudging] respect for them to believe that they are going to use their windfall as the rationale of their action. You know how an amateur gambler [probably I am one <g>] would behave: he may have hit the jackpot from the one armed bandit; however, instead of taking the money and run, he feeds all of it - and than some more - to the same bandit.

While I am lousy in investing, I certainly can see the possibility of your friend of friend's conversion into a hindu lifestyle/faith - or whatever exotic faith. It happened quite a lot back in the heydays of flower power <G>. I am not making a judgement here. Different people do it for different apparent - and sometimes not so apparent - reasons. Let's hope that it works out for your friends.

best, Bosco
