Closer to 270,000+ units in Europe for the last quarter, according to
one of my sources. Considering the US market (255 million) is bigger
than the UK, France, Spain and Germany combined (total: 216 million),
Commandos should do very well. These were the four countries where
the game topped the charts; also the base of PC users is greater per
capita in the US than in Europe. Finally, a researcher at PC DATA told
me last week that he expects to see Commandos on their top selling
game charts in a few weeks. Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan doesn't
hurt either although it was a bit too formulaic as far as WWII movies
go.
