Doesn't he always?

Just kidding, Craig. Re Russia, the interesting thing to me is that it is getting much more attention from the market than it deserves. It's far from being a major trading partner and I'm having a hard time thinking of who, besides Soros and the German banks, will be harmed financially by its currency troubles.

BTW, don't you think Gorby would be doing a better job there than Yeltsin? I've always seen Boris as a populist/opportunist rather than the kind of leader that could guide the country through difficult economic reforms. Gorby's the one who made political reforms happen peacefully.

Durable orders surge

Strong demand for electronic goods
leads surprising 2.4% gain in July

"There's a very strong rise in electronic
equipment and computers -- new era goods --
which is fabulous for future productivity and
future low inflation," he said.

Good for us internuts!

Well I wonder if Stanley Druckenmiller flushed another $2 billion down the toilet today. He sat there and told Ron Insana that he wasn't worried one bit that breadth was horrible and new lows were outpacing new highs by about 50 to 1. Well that was 3 trading days and 1000 points ago.

Like I said...bozo.
