don,

ok, see if i understand it now - since your technicals are just entering into sell, if it quickly goes down, it would move the technicals from upper range to lower range and the decline will be over soon - however, now that it moved back up, and technicals are still pointing down, we have room to fill before it would turn, and because the technicals are very volatile that means the magnitude of move would be big.

new low went over 500 again and SPX is not even at the low.

the move back up was a pump and dump job by Soro's No.2 man - God knows how much they lost in Russia and badly need U.S. to stay up.

Donald,

I've been looking for an index that more realistically represents the general nature of the market. The OEX, SPX and DOW don't seem to relate to the rest of the market. It appears to me that the NDX may be a better measure. However, there doesn't seem to be enough volume in the options to get a good trade. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Peter :o)

Donald; RE:" heading down big-time "

>we are heading down and probably heading down big within days with the liklihood of tomorrow.

...unless it's some sort of climactic-catharsis, I doubt that, ( > 150 DOW points ), Don.

Although I agree that the bias changed to down at OEX ~545 shooting star - and it was confirmed today - the market doesn't feel like it has a lot of conviction either way, really. With all the recent sell-offs, I think that more and more BlueChip, index bellwethers are in stronger hands.

Banks, brokers... we've got to fix the hole in our NF.X or, we won't have enough legs to stand on. DRG.X and RLX.X is just not enough breadth, without a strong NYSE Financials Sector, to sustain Index growth.
