IMO, the only analysis that's any good is the one you do yourself. Right or wrong, at least that way you know the assumptions, the reasoning, and the possible conflicting interests. And, again just my opinion, if you don't understand the company (or other investment) well enough to do your own analysis, that should be a clue that your money would be safer elsewhere.

Barring that, I tend to trust buy side analysis more than sell side analysis. A mutual fund buying the shares for its own account is more credible than a broker who tries to persuade his clients to buy the shares. An insider putting his own money on the line is more credible than an investment banker with visions of secondary offering sugar plums dancing in his head.
