Thank you for that information. I was wondering the same thing. But what if it continues to trade around a penny or so indefinitely? I assume we would then have to sell it at a loss, but we could do that in any year we wanted to, as long as it trades,
correct?

George

If the shares ever regain value, as long as you treated it as a "Worthless" disposal, I believe, you can treat it as a gain again should it come back, if you restart its basis at 0 and use a transaction date the same as when you declared it worthless. I think all you have to do to protect yourself is just clip a copy of the price quote on the stock on that date into your records.
