The future of on-line betting looks very promising, at least for the owners and share holders who will be making all of the money. Casino and Wagering magizine estimates the at home gaming market to be in excess of 10-billion dollars per year. The casino owners themselves are betting on the future. They think that the band with of the lines transferring data will increase with the implementation of high speed T-1 cables, and these lines can be increased to multiple T-3's depending on user traffic. They are hoping that the guests in their casino's will soon be able to have real-time interactions, making internet casino's more enjoyable and accessible.
Another option being considered by internet casino's is to accommodate for file transfer protocols or (FTP's), which would allow for instantaneous download from the casino's game server. This allows for most of the operations to be done on the casino's and users hard drives, alleviating a lot of the waiting involved in other interactions. FTP downloading would be fully interactive, and would be able to have a wide range of graphics, including animated graphics as well as stereo sound.

The investors in internet casino's also believe that as more people in the world come on-line, The use of internet casino's will increase drastically. There are currently 30 million people connected to the internet worldwide. This number is expected to increase to one billion by the year 2000.
