It is clear that the Market don't share us our dream of a major gas discovery. Usually there is enough insiders buying to hold the stock price at a reasonable level that match the size of a discovery.

What is going on is not normal, and what is not normal is usually fishy !!! But, my question is : what is the value of Tusk without
the Strachan gas discovery ? ? I guess it is not far below the current price of the stock ! ! ! $0.80 to $0.90 ! ! ! ! ! !
add to this a modest gas discovery and the total makes Tusk
real value about $1.25, any thing below that will always push insiders to start buying more !!!!!!!!!

I am breaking my head to understand this play, and if my guess is right then we don't have much to lose at this point ! ! ! ! And if things turn to be really not normal we could be very lucky guys ! ! !

I don't see anybody hyping here, We are all guessing, and the market
is not sharing us the same guessing results.

Omer

Hi Richard,

Just for the record, I did/do not seek to "put away" anyone. In my past postings I have sought only to correct/complete statements that were to me very obviously inaccurate (or incomplete, or potentially misleading) technically. With RIK, I simply seek to understand the logic behind his opinion which is obviously so very different from my own. I have absolutely NO intention of participating in any insult slinging dual. If this thread degenerates to that, it will be without my further participation !

RE: "There had to be many meters of pay below the Leduc for Apache to have confidential status implemented."

I don't expect that the pay thickness will be very large. We really do not require a very thick section in the deep horizon to have a deep reserve of ~70 BCF/section.

RE: "It is my opinion that Apache dealing with 7 Canadian partners for a 17.5% interest at Strachan is more trouble than its worth. This can not jive with their corporate criteria. They are better off pursuing a 100% interest in another high impact play. Not to discredit a rumored 400 bcf discovery mind you, but for Apache 17.5% of this well will not have much of an impact on their share price."

Yep, 70 BCF ($50MM value) is important but it isn't the biggest thing that Apache has on its plate right now. A recent (weekend??) article in the Calgary Herald suggested that Apache have a $500+ MM war chest with which to do a Canadian acquisition by year end. Apparently, per that article, Apache will not consider a hostile takeover, it must be a friendly one. Undoubtedly, I will be considered to be "hyping" when I wonder out loud if that war chest could possibly have had anything to do with a series of poison pills that we saw earlier this year?

Later,
grayhairs

P.S.-- BTW, does the western sky look a bit pinkish yet ? I noticed earlier today that they'rrreee back !!!!!!!

Richard, I must object, for what it is worth, to my being "put away". That was not and is not the case. Rather, I took objection to the unprofessional manner in which my Company name was brought into an exchange with Mr.Grayhairs, during an early morning barrage of postings, which I would have to make an educated guess about, came after several Scotch's. I do not need the hassle, to be honest.

Instead, if you look at some of my previous posts, and look at the share prices of TKE, NRT versus others I brought up before, such as GIB.a, ATY or SCL.b, where would your portfolio be at today?

If anyone has access to the Investors Digest, please, please, please read the July 17, 1998 issue, page 420 on the article entitled "The typical life cycle of a speculative stock." It sums it up about as best as I have ever seen. It is this explanation which helped me double my money on NRT. Just the facts, maam. Question is, where are we at on this cycle? Personally, I feel that there is good money to be made on TKE.... much better money when buying at todays prices - it is closer to what the insiders got their shares at.

Reserves? Depends on who is interpreting them. Some see the glass as half full, some as half empty, and others as more empty or more full. Reserve definition is not a black and white science. Sometimes, near year end, it is possible to go over all historic data and find "missed" reserves. Why were they not found or defined during the first go around? It is sort of like when you get a bonus of finding $20.00 you never knew about in another pair of pants before throwing them in the wash.

Back to lurking. Keep up the good work, I'll watch the charts. Charts can't talk, they are easy to get along with.

Regards,

Mike
