Judy,

Nice of you to join the DELL bandwagon finally..

David Weiss bought Jan calls back after the last split, I chose between that and MSFT.. bad choice.

Remember that DELL splits on the 4th, I am in complete agreement that there will be a decline after that. But DELL is no internet company that has hype alone. I have seen this type of action on DELL from the 60's to the 98 level, from the 80's to the present. DELL has it all, and if one was to only invest with Mikey it would be profitable. I am not sure if you caught that post I gave about the guy whos basis on DELL is 5 cents..

Anyway, the calls I have owned have been for a few months. I think the way I shall play DELL from now on is only before earnings (given the current market conditions.. if bullish maybe 3 weeks out, bearish more like a week) and on declines. DELL seems to coil up after a decline and make it all up very quickly.

My one concern about DELL is that IMO they have made some great decisions that give the company power going forward, they are placing steps to dominate. With the info about Brazil and China open, DELL might not decline that much after the split.

I also agree with you that resistance is futile with DELL, it slaughters barriers when momentum is with it.. I really enjoy seeing the NAZ 100 carrying the overall NAZ, and it has been for the last while. CSCO, MSFT and DELL are it right now, even in overall market pullbacks these stocks stay above the tide and do well.

Here is my tools data on your call..

16 OCT120 ** 16 ** 702 ** 2 %

Looks like you have about 3 dollars of excess premium that will slow the point for point movement on your call. Mine has been absorbed finally..

TT mentioned that 150 on DELL is possible.. I agree. Why not? It has the stuff... And no alternatives..

Judy, Ref:

"So, gauge the momentum and sentiment and trade accordingly. I have not sold puts this cycle yet since I was wary of getting caught in a blowoff selloff. Holding Oct 120c now, and will play them by ear. Wish I had bought leaps two months ago when I was fiddling around selling measly puts."

Could you elaborate on your coments about "selling measly puts"? I've been in DELL LEAPS for awhile and am quite pleased with them. However, I've heard exciting things about selling puts and evaluating the cost/benefit of them versus buying LEAPS. I'd appreciate any thoughts and/or experiences you might have.

Thanks,

Duncan
