tippet,

<<Yes, many repetitive jobs have been speeded up. Word processing software is much more flexible than using a typewriter. So what?!!
>>

You reminded me of a story I heard once. Seems a young reporter from a local newspaper was sent out to an old Mainer's farmhouse to interview him on the occasion of his 100th birthday.

The young man started off by asking "Mr. Jones...you have lived through a period of spectacular history, a time during which the world has seen man fly to the moon, the computer has become commonplace, and so many fantastic changes have occurred, too numerous to mention. Could you tell our readers your thoughts on those changes."

The old man rocked in his chair a bit more, spit, and said "Sonny, I bin agin em all!"

Best,
Stitch

I, for one, am sick to type instead of my secretary. And they call it "progress". -g-
