Ah yes, but remember that such call is made because there is no other choice, further you should know, that it is the lawyers within the legislative system that make sure the system keeps the "status quo".

For example:

"The typical lawmaker of today is a man devoid of principle--a mere counter in a grotesque and knavish game. If the right pressure could be applied to him he would be cheerfully in favor of polygamy, astrology, or cannibalism."

Then, we can safely conclude that if men of reason and common sense were the rule, there would be no need for lawyers in our society, well, perhaps a few for record keeping of irrelevant matters at City Hall.

In short, a lawyer un this day and age is a true necessary evil....
