As one who is long "too much" at "too high" a price, the seeing of a substantial increase in short position is not a "comforting" factor.
Unfortunately, even though many feel that a large short position represents underlying buying, in actuality I've seen that that sharp increases in short postions, more often than not preceede downside movement in stock prices. Hopefully, ALYD will be in the minority and "catch" the shorts in a "Squeeze."
Until we see some specific information from the company about their future with ACTUAL moves to show that they are "serious," I fear that we willl continue to see further consternation and erosion.

Re: Short interest

The 33 percent increase in one month is about how much the stock fell in one month....

Its starting to get personal between the longs and the shorts... they want to blame the company... but its the short sellers clobbering the stock....

Jeff,

Pardon my ignorance, but I just started checking Alyd.

Those eps figures you quote, are those per quarter? or per annum?
