MSFT holding pretty well despite depositions for the DOJ trial, news
about product deficiencies and delays.

What worries me more at this point is the impact of meltdown in the
following MSFT sales regions:

RUSSIA
JAPAN
KOREA
CHINA
INDIA
SOUTH AMERICA

US still seems to be the primary strong sales region and there is some
good news from early sales of windows98 in Japan. My biggest concern
are the bad economies around the world casuing

export problems for MSFT i.e. sales in the region &
stronger dollar causing lower total revenues in dollar deonominations.

I am less worried about the Y2K budget allocations or even product
delay impacts and the DOJ.

My earlier fear of MSFT hitting 90 this quarter hasn't happened despite a decline of 10% the DOW. MSFT has held onto its 70% gain
in 98. I hope it holds the current levels but at 66 PE, I am amazed
it is holding as well as it is.
