Rainmaker,

I edited my prior post to you. Heck, if 2 paid analysts can't figure out who is sourcing SBC, who can?!

Best,
Gary Korn

Agile Software Posts Triple Digit Growth During Latest Quarter

SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Agile Software Corporation, a
leading supplier of product change management solutions for supply-chain driven
companies, today reported solid growth in the first quarter of its 1999 fiscal
year ending July 31.

Agile's FY99 Q1 revenues were up more than 150%, or 2.5 times FY98 Q1
revenues. This growth reflects significant expansion in existing customer
accounts as well as an increase in the number of new customer wins garnered
both by Agile's direct sales force and its recently established European
distributors. The company's Agile Workplace(TM) product change management
software is also making inroads as a supply chain management application for
manufacturing companies in Asia.

During the quarter, Agile scored important sales wins in the electronics and
medical device industries. Electronics firms new to Agile's customer roster
are Scientific-Atlanta, Nortel, Philips, Hitachi Telecom, Sequent, Hoffman
Engineering, and Electro Scientific. Electronics customers who significantly
expanded their production systems include Seagate, 3Com, DataCard, InFocus, and
Aspect Telecom.

Agile increased its penetration of the medical device marketplace, most
notably with the addition of Guidant Corporation, a leading manufacturer of
products for the treatment of cardiovascular and vascular disease.

During the quarter, privately held Agile also demonstrated that it has the
confidence of the investment community. In July, Agile received $12 million in
funding from Integral Capital Partners, Hambrecht & Quist, and other mezzanine
round investors. "I have never seen such overwhelmingly positive customer
references (in doing our due diligence)," said Roger McNamee, general partner
of Integral Capital Partners, the late stage affiliate of Kleiner, Perkins,
Caufield & Beyers. "The enthusiasm for Agile just blew us away."

Agile's recent market success has been tracked and heralded by both industry
analysts and the computer and software trade press. Accolades of late include:

* "start" magazine, in its July/August issue, recognized Agile as one of "The
Hottest Companies of 1998," citing Agile Workplace as "the first and only
Microsoft BackOffice(TM) system that streamlines the product-realization
process across the supply chain." Also cited by start's editorial panel was
installation speed: "Agile Workplace is easily implemented in six to eight
weeks, compared with Unix-based systems which take a year or more." In
addition to the strength of Agile's technology, the panel highlighted the
company's phenomenal market success.

* "start," in cooperation with Microsoft, also presented Agile with its
Technology Enabler Award for Agile's role in supporting customer PairGain
Technologies' innovative 'SuperTeam' strategic partnering initiative.
Leveraging Agile's jWorkplace software, PairGain also won the Vertical Market
Solution Award in start's first annual Technology & Business (T&B) Awards
competition. Agile and PairGain were honored for their creativity and
effectiveness in implementing leading edge Windows-based solutions in the
Electronic Equipment industry.

* In July, D.H. Brown Associates, Inc., in its "Technology Trends" report,
called Agile "the breakaway leader in meeting the exploding needs of extended
enterprises across the supply chain." The independent analyst firm noted that
"users of Agile software stood out as unusually successful" in a sampling of 90
percent of Agile's customers, as compared with the top 10 percent of its
competitors' customers. For more information on the above, see the press
