If August is the first outflow, now could be for the overall market indeces as the driller were in December. So your star is telling you that TODAY may not be it now? A slow decline but to DOW 4000 nontheless? Yelsin resignation and the old communist taking over favors the slow decline scenario. Those multinationals who bet on a free Russian by stuffing consumer goods there will be hurt most obviously other than the German banks.
