No, ForbesASAP and Forbes have separate staffs. Off the record, as it were, the article was not only silly but also wrong, ignoring the some nine million CDMA customers in Asia and ignoring the close technical correspondence between Europe's W-CDMA and the IS-95 standard with some 400 Qualcomm CDMA patents. Vicki Contavespi apparently failed even to read my recent CDMA piece in ASAP. Oh, well, these magazine deadlines are hard and the GSM people in the US have alot of time on their hands to lobby and pressmonger.
