>Investors don't seem to care about book value when they push the sell button. The main problem that I see with semiconductor stocks right now is that there aren't enough bidders and if a seller wants out, they have to move the price down. There doesn't seem to be a big conviction to sell, as can be seen by the low volume, but people sell when they see their stock going down and there just aren't enough bids to support them. We need a change in sentiment to get these stocks moving up again

Dan,

Fascinating comments. I agree.

Sentiment is the key element.

Markets are driven by the emotions of fear and greed. Book values and all exotic financial ratios fly out the window when sentiment, in the form of fear and greed, takes over. That's what makes the market mostly imponderable, IMHO.

Well, we've left SOX 226 in the dust. Any clues as to where support may lie? A commentator on CNBC said this a.m. that the bottom in the semis was 6-9 months away. FWIW -- ouch.

Dan - *OT*

Are you the same Dan Z. that I conversed with a couple years back on the DSC Communications thread when that stock tanked down to the 12 and change level? If so, we must think alike!! Have you recently established a position in LSI or are you thinking of doing so?

Regards,
John
