Turbodylution shares are down 33% in Germany right now.

They are trading at 8 DM, which should correspond to an opening gap 2 points down to about 4 3/8 in the US.

In Russia, currency trading was again suspended today. Russian companies aren't able to get any dollars out of their banks.

If this situation persists, Trans isn't going to be able to pay dollars for anything, no matter how 'strong' they Trans might be, according to Halimi. Unless, of course, Trans already has dollars in foreign banks, in which case they would be well advised not to waste them on something like being the first customer for a product nobody else has ever wanted to buy.

At least this currency turmoil will provide a good excuse when Halimi has to announce that the deal has fallen through with Trans/Ex-Im/World Bank/European Reconstruction Bank/Santa Claus.
