Jamie, with all due respect, you're dreaming. You couldn't possibly have "inside" information as detailed as this. Also, the possibility that LU will change its name if it acquires ASND is less than zero. They have spent considerable marketing dollars in the last couple years proliferating this brand, and for them to toss it now, when ASND has essentially no brand recognition is ridiculous. Gary

James, What an imagination your "friend" has. And you call the rest of US "dumb" ??? Dump the name Lucent for Ascent ? A Scent of what what, their stinking future witha name like that ? And a project to be released in Feb.'99 called Millenium, how original. And I can see key CSCO people packing their bags to work for a 140,000 employee company. Yeah, that will happen.
