Actually, the comparison is very rough since we don't know what components are in the systems. One very interesting thing is the Compaq Celeron 333 besting the Dell 333.
I suspect a Celeron 333 is roughly equal clock for clock with a K6-2 but as of today we have the AMD-K6-350...which again puts pressure on Intels Celeron and Pentium II in terms of the MHz game. Not to mention 3DNOW!.
All in all however, it seems that Intel did a good job with the Celeron A. They are holding their breath that it wasn't "too"good.
After today in the market...all this might just be irrelevant anyway.
