Gliders. <sigh>
Never been in a 2-32.
I remember (like a memory of a lovely dream) flying gliders when I was a lot younger. 2-22s, 2-33s, 1-26s. The last ship I captained was a 1-34, a docile-yet-squirrely medium performance number with lousy visibility. But it was to a 1-26 like a Camaro to a Bug.
Perhaps my only real regret in this life is having left gliders. But - I'm married with child, and the gliderports are so far away. The opportunity cost is too high by a big margin.
Maybe one day after my RYURX makes me rich rich rich, I'll buy a square mile of Nevada and own a glider. Frau (or the Helenator, or her kid brother?) will operate the tow vehicle. And I will once again slip the surly bonds of wahtever.
