south korea economy worsening -on the brink of total collapse:
koreatimes.co.kr

What is the sense of these IMF austerity measures if the entire economy of south korea collapses (even with IMF help)? south korea could have defaulted on its debt and been better off....

G'day all - dear tom, I wonder if you will point me to the right direction: where do you get the info regarding HKMA holdings in HSBC and HKT. TIA. I am especially interested in the latter. Why would HKMA need to worry about HKT. Ok, granted that it is a large component of HKI, if memory serves, BTY and Li Ka Shing are 2 of the largest shareholders, and while it may still be property sensitive, it should be least affected considering its biz. Just trying to figure it out.

best, Bosco
