Re: bad news seems to be brewing about Brazil any think this may impact Dell.

Maybe you're hearing a negative rumor.

Dell's building the plant now, they start in the beginning of next year.

Some bad news seems to be brewing about Brazil any think this may impact Dell due to their recent anouncement about Brazil??

One of the reasons to build in same region where the product is sold is that if the country devaluates the cost of production goes down proportional to the effective loss of buying power. Under the direct model Dell is likely to see a reduction in supply cost immediately. Rate of return would remain the same although I suppose the revenue in dollar translated amounts may be reduced.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled thread for a momentary rant

Today is a day traders dream, especially mine. Dell up Dell down Dell up I LOVE IT!!

However, when one has an online account with SCOTT TRADE it can be problematic when their (SCOTT TRADE) online goes wacko. When a market order is put in (through SCOTT TRADE) and it takes 5-10 MINUTES to execute it can really suck when the price is moving real fast and you end up buying at 2 1/2 points higher than when you put the order in. Then when things start coming down you can't get out because SCOTT TRADE is still having problems and your online account is frozen. So if any of you are planning on opening a new account with say.... SCOTT TRADE you may want to think twice because these things happen on heavy volume days. Which incidentally are the days when day trading is the best.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program. Thank you
