The 1999 lineup is really coming together.

THQ To Publish New Nintendo 64 Role Playing Game

CALABASAS, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Aug. 27, 1998--THQ Inc. (Nasdaq/NM:THQI) Thursday announced that it has signed an agreement with interactive game developer H20 Entertainment Corp. (AMEX:HTO) to design and develop a new role playing game (RPG), which THQ will publish and distribute, for the Nintendo 64 game console.

The game, "NomenQuest," is scheduled for worldwide release by THQ in the fourth quarter of 1999.

"We are really pleased with the success of our two current RPGs, 'Quest 64' and 'Granstream Saga,'" said Michael Haller, senior vice president, THQ. "As the technology gap narrows among developers, an even greater premium will be placed on games which feature solid character development and engrossing story lines. We hope this relationship with H20 will enable us to provide RPG fans with this type of game."

"We are very excited to be working with a partner like THQ whose reputation in the industry is so solid," said Michael Tam, CEO, H2O. "THQ has a great track record for publishing quality titles and delivering them into the retail channel on time with a sophisticated and creative marketing program behind them."

Chris Klug, known to fantasy adventure game players as the designer of the classic "DragonQuest" board game for TSR, has joined the H2O team, and will lead the design of "NomenQuest."

H2O previously developed "Tetrisphere" for Nintendo 64, which was a critical success as well as popular among game players, selling more than 430,000 units since its release in August 1997.

H2O Entertainment, based in Calgary, Alberta, is an interactive entertainment software developer specializing in video game development for the Nintendo 64 game console. The H2O Web site is located at www.h2oent.com.

THQ Inc. develops, publishes and distributes interactive entertainment software worldwide for a variety of hardware platforms including PC CD-ROM, and those manufactured by Nintendo and Sony. The THQ Web site is located at www.thq.com.

From Jim Cramer, today:

<<This is, however, one unbelievable time to be a retail small-stock investor.
You do not have to report results or risk redemptions. Not all small-cap
stocks are in the terrible position. Some have cash. Some are seasoned.
Some are just down on pure redemption concerns. Those are the ones
that you will put away and get rich on.>>

I really believe this is the case with THQI. But we won't have long to wait. Two months and we should be at new highs.
