You make sense if the future is as clear is you think. There is the possibility that OPEC's clout is ineffective in raising prices and that the result would be greatly diminished profitability for the oil sector. This may signal a long term shift in fundamentals, which you should consider.

Make your bet when things are more clear. Instead of a quadruple, you have a double.

I'll have to admit, I'm no expert on Warren Buffet. But I wasn't aware he made that type of "bet." Of course, if you are referring to his original foray into business, then I would characterize virtually everyone who starts their own business as that "type."
