Commodity Research Bureau, I believe. They publish an index of commodity prices that is to commodity markets what the Dow Jones index is to equities

As the CRB drops (published in the Wall Street daily) try to envision the past when it accelerated. Then imagine a scenario that is the reverse of the one during acceleration and you will have a view of the future.
