Just what the doctor ordered- not too hot not too cold. What the hell are the purveyors of doom and gloom getting their insight I wonder.

Tom:

Check this out willya?

Economy a bit stronger than thought
GDP revised to 1.6% annual rate from 1.4% estimate

...The report does little to change the view that the economy slowed significantly in April, May and June from the torrid 5.5 percent annual growth in the gross domestic product in the first three months of the year. The slowdown came largely from the cumulative effects of the Asian crisis on U.S. exports, imports, investment and inventories. Inflation remained invisible and consumer spending boomed...

Mohan: Well 5.5% growth is unsustainable, get real people,no can do while countries like china and India etc are only growing around that rate though they could sustain double digit growth,we can not expect to grow at 5.5% well that will be short-lived and disastrous. This is just perfect, thank you.

Now for the good part:

"Most economists expect the economy to pick up a little steam in the second half of the year."
