Wasn't that you who said AMD wouldn't have volume on the 350 until the end of September based on Intels pricing...? I guess Intel misjudged. <G>

Yep. This should give AMD a month of high ASP on the 350. If I remember correctly, the current list price of a PII (that Intel says it charges) is $420. This is supposed to drop to $210 on September 24. At that time, AMD will have to lower their 350 to $158. But I'm sure the OEMs are getting a much better deal than the stated volume pricing. It will be interesting to see when the K6-2 350 shows up for sale (and at what price) on pricewatch.

Intel may well try to move the Katmai into the first quarter of 1999.

Intel has already announced that the Katmai will be released in Q1.
