Actually I said that we are considering it and working on it. It is
not as easy as Creative makes it out to be to support. I doubt that
EAX support will be in the initial release of the Vortex 2 drivers.

I believe that title support and a lot of work are necessary to make
this fly. We make no promises, but if EAX becomes important to
developers (who aren't paid off to support it) and it becomes
important to gamers (in other words, if there are a lot of titles) we
will put employess on making this support work. If not, we would
probably be better served to keep people plugging away at making A3D
2.0 more robust and realistic.

According to Creative, they will still intercept the checks and force Vortex 2
calls through regardless of the lock out. It will simply intercept the calls and
pipe 'em through. This could get very interesting should that be true.
