Yani your story sounds familiar to me. Years ago I lost $68,500 in Tandon-TCOR, which was bigger in disk drives at the time than Seagate. From my loss I wound up with $450, and some coupons to buy Tandon's products. The lawyers got the lion's share of the settlement, which was paid by insurance that all companies carry in case of these class-action lawsuits. And they fight tooth and nail to pay as little as possible. It took me about five years to get my part of the settlement, after making quite a lot of long distance phone calls. What it boils down to is a big pain for stockholders, but it is the way lawyers make their living. By any chance was Tandon the stock you were referring to ?
