Rather, his parents bought him a personal computer when he was a kid. And he fell in love with programming. Several years ago, he founded a company called, simply enough, Allaire. Recently, he achieved the ultimate: The company has filed to go public. The underwriter is the venerable Credit Suisse First Boston.
