Somewhere or another I got the impression a bear market was defined as a 20% drop in the DJIA. Thus, if the DJIA recently topped out at 9300, for example, then 9300 x 0.80 would be 7440, or roughly 8-9 hundred points below the DJIA right now.

BTW, I'm not sure it does any good to place labels on the price action anyway. <g>
