I mentioned that post before...and Lee remembered it as well (which i am glad for since my memory is half-baked )...but it is so buried it could never be found....it may have been from last Oct...

and I probably have it printed out somewhere..but I have so much printed out from SI...it could never be found...

just mosey on over to Ike and ask him about today....and what the negative premium tells him....

I think you are kidding yourself if you think that you can use $PREM to time the market.

This is BIG BOY territory. The arbitragers buy and sell S&P JUST AHEAD of their intended large volume Sell or Buy of S&P based equities.

That is why you see $PREM breach FAir market value and even go -ve compared to cash. It is an indicator of whether the stocks are going to be bought or sold. BUT the action is so fast that by the time you can hit return on your kbd (or click mouse) you will have missed it.
