The Steppe financials ARE done. The following is a quote from a response from John Menzies:

"We have now lodged all our accounts with the appropriate securities commissions and are completing the OSC Annual Information Form which they have requested prior to the resumption of trading. The resumption of trading is a matter beyond our control but we are hopeful of achieving this in the short term."

In addition while carrying on a short e-mail conversation the following was John's overall response to my question about no longer taking part in the internet forums etc. By all accounts he is working very hard to maintain this company, as a true going concern, and with his consent the following are some of his insights as to why he is no longer taking part in the forums:

"I made the decision regarding Internet forums - they are very time consuming and a flippant comment which might take someone 10 seconds to type can take me 30 minutes to respond to. Also I have a problem with a forum where I am the only person who is identifiable - you just never know the intention of the other party and quite frankly I have more pressing issues than responding to a very small number of people - it did become excessively time consuming - really very time consuming and probably did little for the company in the short- medium or long term. By comparison - the Central Asian Resource News goes out to more than 3000 people and the response is remarkable from some people in real power in the financial area and also from shareholders, the media etc. That is much better time spent as it turns out. I quite like the Internet as a form but I just have not got the time and have not looked at SI for example for maybe 8-9 weeks.

Regards
John Menzies"

I would suggest that any of you who are not included in John's mailing list, but are interested in keeping tabs on what is going on, should contact him and find out what you need to do to be included in the distribution.

I hope this has been of some service.

Salut,
Leigh McBain
