LoD, looks like we are going to see the third worse loss ever for the DOW. What's your take on the overall markets? Some are now saying the Japan's index is headed for 11,000...another meltdown. Dell is doing great for a day like today. However, do you think we entered a bear market?

Not what any of us LONGS wanted but put in the proper perspective it "ain't that bad."

Dell down 2.33%
IBM down 4.44%
CPQ down 5.26%
GTW down 6.10%
AAPL down 6.81%

Another way to look at it is like SIG pointed out last week (ie. heck it's gone up 11 points in one week, I'll take that any day.)

Almost everything is down today (about 10 to 1). Once everyone realizes the American economy is CHIEFLY driven by the American people spending their dollars AND the fear mongers stop banging their drums the markets will be back to business as usual. Personally, I think if today was not the "blow off" all the EXPERTS have been predicting for two years..then I think it is at least very close to it. JMHO.
