This is by far one of the butt-ugliest days and closes I have seen in this market. Two of the largest sectors in the market, semiconductors (including equipment makers) and oils (including drillers) are getting their asses handed over to them. some of these stocks are priced like they are facing bankruptcy.

Robbie, the one thing I did want to say is this. nit picking at each other is counter productive we've been there before. let's just recognize that we're all falible, and we all make mistakes and move on from here. As for your cash position. My guess is that so called "value stocks" are not going to work right now. IE they are going to be found at even greater values down the road. in this kind of market dependable growth is all that works. There's little of it about. Forget intel, cpq, mu, amat, and the rest of the no-growth growth stocks and concentate on real (expensive) dependable growth
