Herbert: I feel like a "WHEWWW!!" is in order. The good news is maybe VLNC dodged a bullet today(although there's always tomorrow). However, the over-arching bad news is that same bullet went on to KILL the rest of the market(shades of Saving Private Ryan). Heh! Quite a bludgeoning going on out there, and I don't see it letting up anytime soon. The general market trend is definitely negative. A report I was reading today summed it all up in a nutshell with the following term.

Capital destruction.

This is what we're watching unfold around the globe. Russia defaults on BILLIONS of dollars, Japan's banks are a TRILLION in the red, and on and on and on...... Something to think about anyway, eh? Bottom line? Wouldn't it be nice if VLNC announced p.o.'s in the middle of all this mess. Me think's it'd make VLNC appear as a relative safe haven for such capital as remains out there. Ya gotta dream, eh?
