DD,
We must realize that BB does not have a crystal ball and cannot predict the future. His timing model evaluates investor sentiment, Fed activity, valuations, interest rates, inflation and ?. From this BB comes up with buy/sell signals. He cannot predict future events such as Russia, embassy bombings, military strikes and other like events. Even after the fact his timing model probably has no direct input for the above.

RE: "If Bob happens to be wrong this time, we must not forget that he is only human."

Of course, the rub comes in that when one is wrong and does not admit it. I am not saying Bob is right or wrong yet, but AMAT was not supposed to return to the mid 20's and people can't deal with it that it has. Some even start another thread over it, they can't handle the truth !<g>

DD: Do not despair. The market is fulfilling its destiny according
to Bradley's rule, apocryphally ascribed to Bernard Baruch, viz.,
"the true purpose of the stock market is to make, of the greatest
number of men, the greatest number of fools." I can assure you
that the present writer has not been excepted from this overarch-
ing principle.

<< He is entitled to make a mistake now and then.>>
As vocal as Bob has been with his "bad news bears" campaign, especially this past weekend, I think it is not a pretty sight to eat his own words. Besides, unlike you, if I pay 400 bucks for a news letter, I expect my Guru to be better than delivering a "100% gain in 3 years and 50% gone in 3 weeks" kind of performance.
The simple fact is, you don't need a Guru in a bull market and you don't want them in a bear market.
