OK, enough chatter - more trivia:

What is your understanding of what the word "trivia" means, and how the word came about to mean for us what it does?

An interesting question...I think the answer lies in the batters intention. A bunt to sacrifice is literally giving up your AB to move the runner...and with a flyball that advances the runner, your intention is to swing away.

I say it's interesting because if you bunt with the intention to sacrifice, yet leg it out, you now have an official AB and a hit.

BUT WAIT! I just thought of something...if you bunt to sacrifice, and the pitcher scoops your bunt and tries to throw the advancing runner out, and doesn't, does the batters AB now get switched to an official AB because it is a fielders choice? Hmmm....
