Yes.

I added a chunk of CSCO to my existing position in March/April of 1997 at ~$46. This would be equivalent to $16 after adjustments for splits.>>

You might note that April of 1997 was not at the same time as summer of 1994. Therefore your April 1997 buy did not split twice, only once 3:2, and your price is not $16, but $32. I hope you don't do your own taxes.
