Hello Nancy,

I dont think the model that no one acts innapropriately given their model of the world, is mutually exclusive to personal responsility.
I think we are all responsible for our actions, I just think that people who appear to be acting innapropriately(BTW, that can be in a positive as well as negative sense) are not, given how they percieve
the world and what it means to them. Remember, their perceptions, thoughts, morals, ethics, experiences, sanity, and cultural upbringing
are going to be different than yours. Even a Jeffrey Dahmer, in his own evil little world, acted how he thought was appropriate, given his twisted perceptions.

Remember, no one ever does anything that they dont want to do, ever.
Any decision made, no matter how painful or distatsteful, is made because that person views it as the best means to accomplish their most basic goal or desire. Given that, any decision really cant be innapropriate, given that most basic desire and model of that persons world.
