Here the story: "A nurse works in a hospital's nursery. Since no one is perfect, the hospital sets a standard that allows a nurse to accidently drop one out of 100 infants. This, after all, is only a 1% defect rate. Not bad, unless its your baby."

There are times when one's performance is measured by looking forward, not backward. Elaine G., to my understanding, only made that one bad call. I think this was about a year, or so ago. Today, she's know as "Her Ladyship" (if my memory is correct). Why wasn't she forgiven?
