Raptech,re:"Market psychology". Also, the 'news-spin-mills' and
a general problem that the 'little guys' have the information last,
by that time, it's probably too late and the 'analysts/experts' will
say 'avoid that group', sure not for the benefit of the audiences.

I was kind of shaking my head when I heard on the radio mentioning
the brokerages/analysts were "recommending" avoid the 'big-oil' and
'oil-service' company. Duh. As you know, some of them lost 20-60%
from the high, especially the oil-service sector.

Raptech;

What difference does it make if 6 mos. from now the stock is 38 and you got it at 18 or 20? Not big unless your planning to buy a huge block (10,000 shares or more). You'll still do well. If you can find the exact bottom your better than I am and I will come calling on you every time the stock peaks or bottoms. I need a guru too. Usually, the only real guru is the specialist. He seems to be the only one who is consistently correct. So far, I notice the volume isn't that big nor has the price dropped much from yesterday. John Caen's comment about the media is on the mark. They usually chime in when the bottom or near bottom is reached or when the top or near top is reached. The financial media is controlled by mega-corporations that have a self interest in the goings on at the NYSE. I can't really say their corrupted but I don't trust them. I've been burned before by analysts' recommendations.
