Japan is *only* down 3.83% in early morning trading session. Frankly, I'm a bit surprised is isn't more. International financial reverberations are still being felt however. Many players won't want to hold positions over the weekend, so tomorrow could prove to be an important day for U.S. equities, IMO. The market rallys are there, but they seem to be loosing their conviction and verve. When IBD and WSJ publish the list of today's new lows tomorrow, they are going to have to dedicate far more paper to that endeavor than ever before. The market's closing at the lows for the day, and the stepped-up trading volume, bodes for more ugliness (for long positions) tomorrow.

I feel sorry for the citizens of Russia who attempted to make capitalism work for them. Surely we know it to be a better system than they now do.
