Zeev,

<<That said, I took another position in VECO today and got a better price than yesterday. Do I still want it?

I hope you are joking but fear you are not. You called it. You thought you would be able to buy VECO at 22 again. I still think you will. In fact, what the hell are the turnips saying now anyway? I think I was right when I posted last week that your scenario had been stepped up in schedule. I take it you do not agree?

Best,
Stitch

Zeev, play with fire and sometimes you get burned. I bailed out of VECO today at a loss, and now only hold S&P puts. That said, I think VECO will eventually rally better than the true semi-equipment stocks.

Hi Zeev,

some of your comments are way off. German banks have loaned Russia some 55MM DM. However what you are probably unaware of is that these loans are insured in most cases by a government insurance agency (named Hermes), for 1-3%. So there is no fall back on other banks in Germany, France, Europe or anywhere else.
The forthcoming EURO is a holy cow, especially to the German and French Governments. Russia, along with all its debts, could be swallowed up by a black hole tonight, but it will not change the EURO

Regards
Alan
