No, it just comes under the heading of "religion is the opiate of the masses". If you know what I mean.

I believe that people with an unusual hatred of others with differing religious views need professional help. You obviously have a fixation with the so-called "religious right".

I can understand why you would think that about me based on what I have posted on this thread and what you have posted here. But I don't think hatred is the right word. "Fear and loathing" fit better.

I believe that the religious right has completely warped the teachings of Jesus, that their actions as a group in no way manifest his Way. And this is not off topic. The venomous invective of the religious right toward Bill Clinton and his wife shows just how unChristian they are. If Jesus suddenly appeared in the middle of one of their diatribes against the President, they would be ashamed of themselves.

But it is much more than that. The more I study Christianity, the less I see of it in the "religious" right.

Bill, Im just trying to help people remember who you are with my clever play on words: Bill "rhymes with yawn" Vaughn. I think we all would have liked your name to be more like Bill Thrill, or Bill Wild or something like that but it was not to be - the title just didnt fit.

You will remain Bill "rhymes with yawn" Vaughn until you say something truly profound or interesting, and who the heck knows when that will be.
