I'm actually very happy this has happened. I would have been much more concerned if the market marched towards DOW 10,000 with blinders on.

I think the situation in Russia is terrible, but I don't think we have come to the end of the world. Side note: I also think that now is probably a great time for the long-term investor to start building more exposure to foreign stocks through well-managed mutual funds. I don't think Eurpoe or Japan are going out of business - but assets are now at fire sale prices thanks to the economic mess.

Most of my shorts are small or micro caps. I have been having a much more difficult time finding compelling shorts lately and many of my existing positions are already scraping the ground. This raises a red flag in my mind.

I'm now very bullish.
