Congratulations! You're getting to know them.

Been using upgrades to stocks I am familiar with to short from a couple hour inflated vantage point.

I am now of the opinion that most of these "analysts" that we hear on CNBC are no where near objective. I ignore them. They are pimping their positions, that's all.

Thought you were on vacation, that's the only time I watch CNBC as we cut through our cable when planting shrubbery years ago. We're out of town till Tuesday as well. No trades here till then.

Luc, Still trying to figure out gold. You've been correct enough in my book to be "smart money".

>>be smart with the longs<<
Yeah, I was so smart I didn't buy any. I checked the market about 9:15, pulled up DELL to see how much it was up, saw it down over 3 [?!?], and said "Hmmmmmmm....". Checked a few others, they were all down and the DOW at that point wasn't much in the red. Next time I checked, DOW was down 54. I shut it down for the day. One of my friends told me he heard an interview with Abby J. and she was saying now was the time to buy and the DOW would be 10,000 by year end. Even though her private clients she had in bonds or shorts with 100% returns for the latter. Hmmmmmmmmm....... Reminded somewhat of an old FarSide cartoon. Shows a shadowy cave, with a ferocious T. rex looking down at this obviously frightened cave man. Standing behind the cave man is his friend, saying "Not worry. Him like to be pet. He no bite". Hard to figure the joke till you look carefully and see the friend, who is somewhat obscured in the shadows, sports a peg leg and a peg arm.
Speaking of advice, old LT has lots of good advice, but sure am glad I didn't decide to "aggressively buy the XAU" a few days ago - I'd have been aggressively punished! Good Trading!
