Since the weekly figures are often revised after a day or two (and some people do not think that even those are accurate) it is hard to see how daily figures could be very reliable. It seems a little odd to ask a question and then provide the answer.

In any case, money going into money market funds may or may not get back into equities; one thing that is definite is that if money is taken out of equities, it has been taken out. The outflow also serves as a sentiment indicator and may suggest a loss of confidence in stocks.

In finanacial news this evening, monthly flow (presumably more accurate a figure) was less into equities than any time since 1991, I think it was.

Maybe confidence in the market is gradually ebbing away.
