Just a suggestion. Never answer any of these 'marketing' surveys from anyone. My stock answer is to state I have to charge for my time. If they are legitimate representatives of a company, they would take the time to call you in for an in depth discussion with others. Two quality companies, HP and Merrill have done this with me. After they were finished, I was paid for my time. If this information is as valuable as the surveyor claims it is, why aren't they paying us for our opinions? Not so much for the opinions but for our time. Usually, anything of this nature turns out to be a poorly disguised qualifying call for a sales follow up. That's my take on it. I do agree with other thoughts expressed here. It is weird to say the least. Regards, Jack

Opalapril, Been reading your posts. Questions that come to mind. 1. When you set up an account, your forms usually have a check box that allows/doesn't allow your broker to release your name to companies in which you hold stock. Do you know what your status is? 2. Assuming your info is not releasable to the company, is your current broker the same as your broker of two years ago? If the answer is no, they may be selling former client/customer lists. In any event, whenever anyone calls out of the blue asking about financial status, just remember, its not a matter of civil disobedience, IT IS NONE OF THEIR DAMN BUSINESS!!!!
